Tony Leroy High, 53 of Garrett, died on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1959 in Fort Huachuca, AZ to Elmer and Barbara (Schultz) High. He married Debra J. Cull on June 10, 1995 in Churubusco and she survives in Garrett. Tony was a member of the Garrett Church of the Nazarene where he was a board member and also taught Sunday School for many years and also was a member of IOPO. He especially loved Komet Hockey.

Also surviving is his mother, Barbara High of Garrett; two daughters; two sons, Christopher Burden of Auburn and Mark Burden of Churubusco; grandson, Lucas and granddaughter, Alexis; three brothers, Tom High of Garrett and Troy and Ty High of South Carolina; sister, Tina Heffley of Butler; brother in-law and sister in-law, Tom and Carolyn Cull of Columbia City and his special four legged friend “Coco”. He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Garrett Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kent Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett.
