Charles R. “Charlie” Mansfield age 92 of Garret, IN died May 22, 2018 in Garrett, IN. Charlie was born June 11, 1925 in Auburn, IN to George A. and Helen (Abel) Mansfield. He married Rita Ann Kobiela on November 22, 1947 in Garrett, IN and she died April 2, 2014. Charles was a quality control supervisor at Dana – Auburn, IN. Charlie served many years with the Garrett Recycling Center after he retired.

Charlie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church – Garrett, IN

Charlie was a WW II Army veteran, serving in the 2nd armored division - serving under General Patton.

Charlie is survived by his son: Steve (Brenda) Mansfield, Garrett, IN; daughters: Kathy (Kim) Shumway, Garrett, IN; Rosie (Richard) Mansfield Davis, Bristol, TN; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife: Rita Ann Mansfield; parents: George A. and Helen Mansfield; brother: George W. Mansfield; sisters: Corinne Mansfield, Alda Hovarter, and Evelyn Pritchett.

Graveside services will take place at a later date in Calvary Cemetery – Garrett, IN
