Eugene B. Vorndran Jr.

Eugene B. Vorndran Jr. age 66 of Garrett, IN died Monday, December 3, 2018 at his Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 1, 1952 in Fort Lee, VA. to Eugene B. Vorndran Sr. and Jeannette (Gunter) Vorndran. He married Eleanore “Ellie” M. Jetmore on December 2, 1972 in Churubusco, IN. They just celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Eugene worked as a steelworker and electrician, retiring in 2015. He was proud to be a Re-born Christian and he loved cowboy hats, NASCAR, and the Komets.

Eugene is survived by his wife: Eleanore “Ellie” Vorndran, Garrett, IN; daughters: Amy (Jim) Smith, Omaha, NE; Emily (Brad) Runion, Garrett, IN; Jeanette (Marcus) Frazier, Richmond, VA; brother: Jeff (Val) Vorndran, Columbia City, IN; sisters: Patricia Luchies, St. Augustine, FL; Vicki Fordeck, Auburn, IN; Karen (Dave) Anderson, Monroeville, IN; Terri (Tim) Vaughn, Churubusco, IN; brother in-law: Carl Boice, Ft. Wayne, IN; sister in-law: Jori Vorndran, Ft. Wayne, IN.; 12 grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Jeanette Vorndran Sr.; brother: Michael Vorndran; twin sisters: Jeannette Vorndran and Annette Boice.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, December 6 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home with Brother Bud Owen officiating.
