Rodney W. Dunham age 88 of Berne, IN and formerly of Garrett, IN died at 1:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Swiss Village Nursing Care, Berne, IN. Rodney was born February 10, 1930 in Rock Island, IL to David W. and Flora (Kromminga) Dunham. Rodney was a 1952 graduate of Purdue University. He married Phyllis J. Rosell on August 10, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN. Rodney’s 30 years with International Harvester started in Indianapolis, IN and when he retired in 1985, he was a Vice President at the Chicago Headquarters.
Rodney was an Army Korean War veteran and member of the Garrett United Methodist Church – Garrett, IN. He was particularly proud of his work with Habitat for Humanity.
Rodney is survived by his wife: Phyllis J. Dunham, Berne, IN; 3 sons: Robert Dunham (Vivian), Decatur, IN; William Dunham (Teddi), Waukegan, IL; Dan Dunham (Babette), Athens, TX; 10 grandchildren and 15 great and great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the Garrett United Methodist Church – Garrett, IN., with Pastor Jan Dimick officiating.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the church.
Military honors by the United States Army to take place at the conclusion of the memorial service.
