Susan J. (Saxer) Majeski

Susan J. “Saxer” Majeski age 67 of Monee, IL died at 9:22 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Ingalls Hospice – Harvey, IL. Susan was born October 7, 1951 in Garrett, IN to Raymond “Bud” and Marjorie Doris (Kelham) Saxer. Susan received her master’s degree from Ball State University – Muncie, IN.

Susan married Frank Ronald Majeski on July 6, 1985 in Garrett, IN and he survives in Monee, IL

Susan was a teacher for 40 years, 10 years at LaOtto Elementary School, LaOtto, IN and Mae Jemison School – Hazel Crest, IL retiring in 2012. She was a member and president (1984-1986) of Gamma Sigma Sigma sorority at Ball State University and was still very active.

Susan is survived by her husband: Frank Ronald Majeski, Monee, IL; brother and sister in-law: Ellsworth and Cathy Saxer, Garrett, IN.  Cherished aunt to Amanda (Ryan), Alex (Sarah) and Anthony; great aunt to Halle, Raystlyn, Isabelle and Nolan.  Dear niece to Thelma Saxer Ringenburg.  Susan will be missed by numerous relatives, loving friends and anyone who has meet her.

Visitation on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2PM until the service at 8PM at Monee Funeral Home 5450 Wilson St. (at Governors Hwy.), Monee, IL 60449.  Info. (708) 534-0016.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Funeral Home.

Services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Jan Dimick officiating.

Burial will take place in Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN

Memorials are to the American Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association.
