Adelaide (Toodie) Cogley, 100 of Garrett, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Provena Sacred Heart Home in Avilla. Toodie was born July 16, 1911 in Garrett to the late John and Anna (Gangler) Cogley. She had been a bookkeeper at Cooper, Brandt, Brunner, Fanber, Gaskill and Hartman in Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, the Rosary Society and Harvest House. Toodie was devoted to her Catholic faith and served as an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a beloved Aunt to her many nieces and nephews who enjoyed spending time playing at the Cogley homestead and the park across the street. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank and Martin Cogley; and sisters, Beatrice Cogley, Marguerite Cogley, Esther Crow, Kathryn Donahue and Bernadette Dreher. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. A rosary service will take place at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School
