Alice M. Beber age 89 of Garrett, IN died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at her residence. She was born December 24, 1917 in Garrett, In to Walter and Blanche (Ayres) Alford. She married Charles D. Beber on December 17, 1936 in Garrett, In and he died June 14, 1976. She was a clerk at Laura Williams Grocery in Garrett, In for 16 years and then at Handy Andy in Garrett for 5 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church and the Garrett Eagles Auxillary. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home. Burial in Christian Union Cemetery Officiating will be Rev. Howard Compton and Rev. Bill Hambright. Memorials to the Garrett Presbyterian Church.
