Alisha R. New, age 17 of Garrett, IN died at 5:40 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2007 in an automobile accident on C.R. 11A in DeKalb County. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Kendallville, IN to Danny R. Rose and Sharon R. New. Alisha was a junior at Garrett High School and was a member of the Rhythm Connection Show Choir. She worked at Arby's in Auburn, IN for 8 months. Alisha enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, soccer and basketball. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Garrett. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Garrett. Burial will take place in Orange Cemetery in Wolcottville, IN. Memorials are in care of the family.
