Alson "Jack" H. Frost December 19, 1935 - August 22, 2012 Alson H. "Jack" Frost, age 76 of Garrett, IN died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor - Garrett, IN. He was born December 19, 1935 in Willard, OH to Alson and Rita (Breyman) Frost and they preceded him in death. He married Carol June Mattice on April 11, 1959 in Garrett, IN and she died September 29, 1991. Alson was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marines. He worked as a laborer most his life. Alson is survived by 3 sons: Dan Frost, Auburn, IN; Rick (Connie) Frost, Ft. Wayne, IN; and Derek Frost, Garrett, IN. He is a survived by 2 daughters: Dawn Townsend, Auburn, IN and Rosie (Eric) Killian, Columbia City, IN. Alson has 1 brother and a sister surviving: Jim Frost, Auburn, IN and Judy Hershiger, Willard, OH. Alson is survived by 10 grandchildren: Rick Frost (Britni Costello), Ft. Wayne, IN; Crystal Frost, HI; Autumn Frost, HI; Ashley Killian, Columbia City, IN; Nick Killian, Columbia City, IN; Jason Killian, Columbia City, IN; Dana Frost, Auburn, IN; Leah Townsend, Auburn, IN; Miranda Townsend, Auburn, IN and Jada Townsend, Auburn, IN. 1 great granddaughter: Kaydance Frost, Auburn, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Carol June Frost, a daughter: Debra Frost; a son: Randy Frost and 2 brothers: Richard "Abe" Frost and David Frost Services will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN with Pastor David Mix officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN with military graveside services by the Garrett American Legion and VFW.
