Anna Margarete Lilienthal age 96 and formerly of Garrett, IN. died at 3:50 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Provena Sacred Heart Home - Avilla, IN. She was born February 16, 1914 in Braunsberg, East Prussia to Franz and Gertrude (Weinreich) Nadolny and they preceded her in death. She married Helmut Anton Lilienthal on October 28, 1941 in Braunsberg, East Prussia and he died December 9, 1965. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett. She was also a member of the Rosary Society and Harvest House. Mrs. Lilienthal is survived by 5 daughters: Monika Vickers, Grandbury, TX; Gabriela Kruger, Garrett, IN; Margaret Gammons, Keller, TX; Antonia Warrick, Jacksonville, FL and Susan Green, Fort Wayne, IN. She is also survived by 7 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 6 great grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and a sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett. Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or Masses
