Axley Lee "Tutti" Hicks age 73 of Garrett, IN died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Byron Health Center - Fort Wayne, IN. He was born 3-23-1941 in McDowell County, WV to Sam and Rhoda (Ramey) Hicks. He married Janice Wright in Welch, WV and she died November 19, 2004. He was a Construction worker, retiring in 2009. He was a Vietnam Army veteran. Axley is survived by 2 sons: Sam (Lisa) Hicks ad Axley Hicks, Garrett, IN; 3 daughters: Dawn Christian, War, WV; Sibyl Collins, High Pointe, NC; Sonja Vaughn, Virginia Beach, VA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers and 6 sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents: Sam and Rhoda Hicks, wife: Janice Hicks, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will take place Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN Burial will take place in West Virginia at a later date.
