Barbara Ann (Cattell) Niccum age 61 of Stafford Springs, CT and formerly of Garrett, IN died Friday, March 21, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT surrounded by her family. She was born May 7, 1952 in Garrett, IN to Joseph T. and Veronica M. (Mikrut) Cattell. Her father passed away on December 24, 2013 and mother lives in Garrett, IN. She married Ronald Niccum on April 19, 1980 I Garrett, IN and he lives in Stafford Springs. She worked as a quality analyst for UTC and was a member of St. Edwards Parish. Barbara enjoyed gardening, sewing, and volunteering her time at CRIS Radio.

Barbara is Survived by her husband: Ronald Niccum, Stafford Springs, CT and 2 sons: Doug Niccum, Overland Park, KS and Brian Niccum, Stafford Springs, CT. She is survived by her mother: Veronica "Ronnie" Cattell, Garrett, IN; Brother: Bruce Allen (Shellie) Cattell, Fort Wayne, IN and sister: Beth Ann (Doug) Scherer, Garrett, IN. Many nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

A service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating

Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN
