Barbara S. High, age 73 of Garrett, died on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 15, 1940 in Huntertown to the late Henry A. and Odessie (Reinoehl) Shultz. She married Elmer L. High on August 2, 1958 in Garrett and he died on May 4, 1991. Barbara had worked at Mossberg Hubbard in Garrett for over 20 years, retiring in 2002. She is survived by 3 sons, Tom High of Garrett, Troy (Tammy) High of Santee, SC and Ty (Melissa) High of North Charleston, SC; a daughter, Tina (Keenan) Heffley of Butler; 2 brothers, Rick (Patty) Shultz of Garrett and Keith (Mary) Shultz of Churubusco; a sister, Brenda Issa of Garrett; 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tony High and a brother, Robert A. Shultz. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, with Pastor Paul Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June5, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to the family to assist with expenses.
