Ben E. Hatton age 58 of LaOtto, IN died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his home. He was born October 13, 1952 in Garrett, IN to Ben Hatton Jr. and Nora (Harmon) Hatton. Ben was a machine operator for Conrail Railroad for 17 years. He is survived by his daughter, Christi (Brian) Hall of Garrett; four brothers, John Hatton, James (Kerri) Hatton, Dean (Telicia)Hatton and Lloyd (Lois) Hatton all of Garrett; four sisters, Kathleen (Larry) Rusher of Fort Wayne, Wanda Swonger of Auburn, Debra (Robert) Leeman of Kendallville and Carrie (Leif) Smedberg of Garrett and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert and Donald Hatton. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Laher officiating. Burial will follow in Swan Cemetery - LaOtto, IN. Memorials are to the donor's choice.
