Bernice L. Colgrove, 98 of Garrett, died on January 4, 2013 at her daughter's home. She was born February 17, 1914 in Pontiac, KS to the late Hans P. and Hattie R. (Heideman) Johnson. She was a statistician at North American Van Lines until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and loved to line and western square dance. She is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Baer of Garrett; a son, David L. Gardner of Highland, CA; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Hubert Gardner and 3 sisters, Audine E. Booth, Helen M. Gill and Eve Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, with Fr. Bob D'Souza officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Calling will be at the church from 10 a.m. - noon. Memorials are to the donor's choice.
