Betty E. DeLucenay age 93 of Garrett, IN died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center - Fort Wayne, IN. Betty was born February 16, 1922 in St. Joe, I to George Henry and Wilma Marie (Magers) Kees. She married Richard E. DeLucenay on June 5, 1941 in Garrett, IN and he died November 13, 1991. Betty was a receptionist for Dr. Carpenter then worked 6 years at Lincoln Life Insurance Company and then worked for Dr. Foy and Dr. Farrales, before retiring in 1982. Betty was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN; Rosary Society, Church Choir, Eucharistic Minister, the Skirt's and Shirts square dance group and the DeKalb County Extension Chorus. She enjoyed music, dancing, playing bridge and bunko and was a member of the Family Motor Coach Association- member #F2555. They wintered in Harlingen, TX for a number of years. Betty is survived by 2 daughters: Margaret M. (Kenneth) Hartman, Fort Wayne, IN; Patrice L. (John) Reidenbach, Fort Wayne, IN; 3 sons: Richard M. (Judith) DeLucenay, Benton Harbor, MI; Jeffrey K. DeLucenay, Garrett, IN; Brian C. (Rita) DeLucenay, Van Wert, OH.; a sister: Bonnie Crabill, Fort Wayne, IN; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Richard E. DeLucenay; parents: George Henry and Wilma Marie Kees; 4 brothers: Willard D. "Bud" Kees, Samuel M. Kees, Harry L. Kees, Roger H. Kees; 2 sisters: Georgia M. Kees and Nelda Shafer. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday, June12, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating.
