Betty E. Jensen age 93 of Garrett IN died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at DeKalb Health - Auburn, IN. She was born September 5, 1922 in Mentone, IN to Burdette and Charlotte (Tumbleson) Holloway and they preceded her in death. Betty married Herman W. Jensen on December 31, 1939 in Fort Wayne, IN and he died September 30, 2009. Betty was a homemaker and member of the Garrett United Methodist Church and The Order of the Eastern Star. Betty is survived by a daughter: Karen Johnson, Noblesville, IN; son: Michael (Bobbie) Jensen, Fort Wayne, IN; daughter: Kim(Bill) Schaab, Auburn, IN. She is survived by 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband: Herman W. Jensen; parents: Burdette and Charlotte Holloway; brother: John Holloway. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. - Noon on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R 56, Garrett, IN. A graveside service will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Syracuse Cemetery - Syracuse, IN. with Funeral Celebrant Thomas Drzewiecki officiating.
