Bruce W. Custer, 61, of Garrett, IN died on Monday, January 12, 2009 at DeKalb Memorial Hospital. Bruce was born November 29, 1947 in Garrett, IN to Dale F. and Mary Jean (Bonnett) Custer. He was a Truck Driver at Custer Grain in Garrett, IN. He was a member of the Garrett American Legion. He is survived by his mother - Mary Jean Custer of Garrett, IN, son - Shane and Maria Custer of Garrett, IN, daughter - Shannon and Joe Day of Garrett, IN, grandson - Aidan Custer of Garrett, IN and brother - Brian and Holly Custer of Garrett, IN. Visitation will be held at Thomas Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2009. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery.
