Candy L. Morningstar age 67 of Garrett, IN passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 while surrounded by her loving family. Candy was born June 29, 1958 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Roger and Erma A. (Helblig) Blair and they preceded her in death. She married Donald Morningstar on September 8, 1989 in Ashley, IN. She was a homemaker.

Candy is survived by her husband: Donald Morningstar, Garrett, IN; daughters: Kathy (Chris)) Huth, Garrett, IN; Patricia (William) Ellert, Hudson, IN; Sons: Lance Morningstar, Ft. Wayne, IN; David (Chermain) Morningstar, Ft. Wayne, IN; Donnie (Amy Baker) Morningstar, Garrett, IN; Sisters: Sandra Ormsby, Bluffton, IN; Mary Rochefort, OR; grandchildren: Neko (Zora) , Chellsie, Dale, Samantha, Nick, Rebekah, Logan, Dexter Jr. (Katie), Lantz, Arrieanna, Adysson, Lexy, Ryker, Sage, Rayven, Kayleigh, Drake, Brayden; great grandchildren: Jace, Grey, Dexter III.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Erma Blair; daughter: Vicky Marie Sumner; brothers: Tom Blair and Berry Blair; sister: Lola Pearson.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
