Carol June (King) Sleek age 78 of Garrett died at 10:36 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at her home. She was born March 10, 1932 in Fort Wayne to Benjamin L. and Berniece A. (Barnes) King and they preceded her in death. She married Robert W. Sleek Sr. on August 16, 1951 and they were married until November 4, 1960. She married Frederick J. DeHaut on May 13, 1970 in Rockville, MD and he died December 31, 1999. She then re-married her first husband Robert W. Sleek Sr. on March 28, 2003. Carol worked in the assembly area at Phillips Technology in Auburn for 12 years, retiring in 1994. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert W. Sleek Sr. of Garrett and 2 daughters, Doris (Gary) Jarnagin of Indianapolis and Bonnie Bunn of Acworth, GA; 2 sons, Robert W. Sleek Jr. of PA and Bryan and Misty Sleek of Auburn; grandchildren, Steven and Melissa Sleek of CA, JJ and Leticia Sleek of CA, Roy Gary Jarnagin Jr. of NC, Michael Jarnagin of Auburn, Thomas Bunn Jr. of Fort Wayne, Connie and Joe Kashmer of Garrett, Rebecca and Chester E. Dingus III of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Desirae Schaper, Trey Mitchell, Kiersten Jarnagin, Brookelynn Jarnagin, Matthew Jarnagin, Zakary Kashmer, Macy Kashmer, Nicholas Dingus, Austin Boyce, Trevor Boyce, Kendra Boyce, Gunner Kees-Jarnagin, Evelyn Sleek, Sabastian Sleek, John Sleek, Nathan Sleek and Justin Sleek; her twin sister, Phyllis Balzer of Auburn and sister, Mary Lou Crager of Garrett. She is also survived by her caregiver and friend Melinda Soule of Garrett. Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Furnish; brother, Tom King; a half brother, Harry Barnes; son in-law, Thomas Bunn Sr. and a great granddaughter, Emily Katelynn Dingus. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett. The services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home with Brother Bud Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett.
