Carol A. Woods age 64 of Garrett, died at 5:32 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at the Laurel's of DeKalb in Butler. She was born June 14, 1947 in Ft. Wayne to Wayne and Evelyn (Leprie) Wylie. She was a housekeeper for Howard Johnson's. Carol is survived by her mother, Evelyn J. King of Ft. Wayne; 2 daughters, Sharon Woods of Kendallville and Carol (Terry) Barger of Garrett; 3 brothers, Eddie Wylie of Arkansas, Robert Wylie of Wisconsin and Charles Wylie of Ft. Wayne; 3 sisters, Barb Redman of Texas, Janet Blair of Ft. Wayne amd Theresa Fisher of Ft. Wayne; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Wylie; brother, Kenny Wylie and a daughter, Michelle Fyda. Visitation will be from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett. Services will be held at 2:30 pm. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. David Mix officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Garrett. Memorials are to Heartland Hospice.
