Carolyn J. Zeider age 80 of Garrett, IN died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center - Fort Wayne, IN. Carolyn was born June 7, 1935 in Garrett, IN to Lafayette W. and Mildred (Streb) Nodine and they preceded her in death. She married William H. Zeider on April 16, 1955 in Garrett, IN and he died April 10, 1992 She and her husband owned Bill's Liquor Store in Garrett. She was a member of the Garrett American Legion Aux., Garrett Eagles Aux., VFW Aux., and the Garrett Elks Aux. Carolyn is survived by 4 daughters: Linda (Dave) Weyrick, Garrett, IN; Mary (Russell) Jordan, Auburn, IN; Laura Zeider, Garrett, IN and Annie Duckett, Garrett, IN. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her 2 sisters: Janet Bowers and Sandra Richmond, both of Garrett, IN. and 3 brothers: Robert and Richard Nodine, Garrett, IN and Eugene Nodine, Ashley, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William H. Zeider, son: Steven Zeider, 3 sisters: Linda Nodine, Barbara Isham, and Kathleen Kurtz, 1 brother: Kenneth Nodine. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home - 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN and from 9 - 10 a.m. Thursday July 9, 2015 at the funeral home. Services will take place at 10 am. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. David Mix officiating. A private burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN.
