Christie J. Heiman age 74 of Garrett, IN died Sunday morning at Miller's Merry Manor – Garrett, IN. Christie was born May 5, 1950 in Auburn, IN to Ronald "Dick" and Vera (Haywood) Ranney.

She married Richard A Heiman on March 28, 1970 in Auburn, IN and he survives in Garrett. Christie worked in the factory at Electric Motors and Specialties for over 40 years, retiring in 2015.

She had attended The Church at Garrett.

Christie is survived by her husband: Richard A. Heiman, Garrett, IN; son: Richard Heiman II. Garrett, IN; brother: James "Jim" (Donna) Ranney, Springfield, OH; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Christie was preceded in death by her parents: Dick and Vera Ranney; daughter: Rochelle Daniel Heiman; brothers: Ronald Ranney and Dave Porter; sister: Ruth Ann Weilbacker.

A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.
