Coleen Kaye Steward, age 65 of Garrett, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at The Laurels of DeKalb in Butler. She was born July 25, 1948 in Garrett to the late Earl and Mildred (Smith) DePew. She married Michael "Mick" Steward on October 22, 1968 and he survives in Fort Wayne. She retired as a supervisor from Magnavox in Garrett. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett.

Also surviving is her son, Todd M. (Lisa Utermark) Steward of Garrett; son in-law, Craig Brennan of Avilla; two brothers, Joe (Linda) DePew and Brian (Betsy) DePew of Garrett; two granddaughters, Audrey (Justin) Barry and Cooper Steward; a grandson, Alex Brennan and a great granddaughter, Kaytlin Barry. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christina M. Steward.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett with Fr. Andrew Nazareth officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15 from 2-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett.
