Deborah Lynn Custer age 70 of Garrett, IN died Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Deborah was born March 21, 1948 in Sturgis, MI to Charles Edgar and Josephine (Wolf) Nelson. She married Larry E. Custer on October 11, 1995 in Auburn, IN and he died September 21, 2009.

Deborah retired after working on the manufacturing line at B.F. Goodrich – Woodburn, IN.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN and previously a member of Fairview Missionary Church – Angola, IN and Living Waters Church – Garrett, IN.

Deborah is survived by her mother: Josephine (Gary) Culy, New Haven, IN; 2 sons: Mark Cowell, Angola, IN and Keith Cowell, Angola, IN; 2 sisters: Georgia (Steve) Click, Ft. Wayne, IN; Kathleen (Greg) Caylkins, Ft. Wayne, IN; 3 brothers: Steve (Penny) Nelson, Ft. Wayne, IN; Michael (Debbie) Nelson, New Haven, IN; Timothy Nelson, FT. Wayne, IN

Deborah was preceded in death by her daughter: Angela Cowell; husband: Larry E. Custer; father: Charles Nelson and brother: Kent Nelson

Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

Private burial will take place at a later date in Trinity Cemetery – Angola, IN
