Debra J. Crites age 63 passed with her loving family by her bedside on Saturday, May 20, 2017. She was born May 6, 1954 in Lima, OH to Paul and Ella L. (Brooks) Mansfield. She married Rodney E. Crites on November 29, 1997 in Fredericksburg, VA.

Debra was a Women's Army Corp. Veteran and worked as a contract administrator for the U.S. Government for 25 years, retiring in 2013.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ – Garrett, IN.

Debra is survived by her husband: Rodney E. Crites, Garrett, IN; son: Matthew P. Sisson, Garrett, IN; daughter: Elizabeth A. (Victor) Baver, Garrett, IN; step-son: Rodney S. (Marie) Crites, Killeen, TX, 3 sisters: Paula Thomas, Payne, OH; Diana (Jim) Mattern, Leipsic, OH; Lois Crawford, Carmel, IN; brother: Paul Mansfield Jr. (Josh), Leipsic, OH; 10 grandchildren: Justin (Jessa) Sisson, Auburn, IN; Brandon Sisson, Garrett, IN; Aaran Sisson, Garrett, IN; Tori Baver, Lexi Baver, Ella Baver and Cari Baver, all of Garrett, IN; Shyanne Crites, Colorado Springs, CO; Chloe Crites, Killeen, TX; Dakota Crites, Killeen, TX and 2 great grandchildren: Demetri Sisson and Evan Sisson, Auburn, IN.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

Services will follow at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home with Brother Bud Owen of the First Church of Christ in Garrett officiating.
