Donald W. Lampe, 61 a resident of Allen County, IN before moving to Panama City, FL in 2008, died on Friday, August 3, 2012 in Panama City, FL. He was born May 11, 1951 in Garrett, IN to Walter W. and Donna A. (Yerks) Lampe. Together since 1998, he married Rolana "Missy" Dorsey on July 7, 2007 at their home in Huntertown, IN and she survives in Panama City. He graduated from Valparaiso University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He retired from White Cap Construction Supply formally Triden Construction Supply and is a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Garrett. Don is also survived by his mother, Donna Lampe of Auburn, IN; two step-sons, Nicholas and Mitchell Jenks of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Steve (Diane) Lampe of Auburn; sisters, Deb (Jerry) Claxton of Auburn and Lori (Bud) Weaver of Garrett; nieces, Jessica Lampe, Kelly (Dave) Dircksen and Tonya (Adam) O'Conner; nephews, Christopher Lampe, Scott (Katie) Claxton and Daniel Claxton. A special "thank you" to close friends, Todd Hunter, Julie Dunkin, Brett Oltman and Tess Bryant of Panama City and Gary Rainey of Louisville, KY for their comfort and support during Don's illness. He was preceded in death by his father. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett with calling from 5-7 p.m. Pastor Jeffrey Horn will officiate.
