Doris A. Howard age 91 of Franklin, IN and formerly of Garrett, IN passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Compass Park – Franklin, IN. Doris was born October 16, 1933 in Garrett, IN to Richard L. and Margaret D. (Leeson) Dolan and they preceded her in death. Doris married Edward Allen Howard on October 28, 1951 in Garrett, IN and he passed away on November 26, 2009.

Doris was a secretary at Garrett State Bank for 22 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority and was past Grand Matron of the Order of The Eastern Star – Indiana Grand Chapter.

Doris is survived by her son: Steven Howard, Franklin, IN.

Visitation will take place from 1-5 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. with an Eastern Star Service at 4:30 p.m.

A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN
