Doris "Jean" Talley age 94 of Garrett, IN died Monday, October 26, 2015 at Lutheran Life Villages - Pine Valley, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born September 7, 1921 in Auburn, IN to Roger and Ruby (Pence) Hull and they preceded her in death. She married John David Sapp on June 24, 1942 in Auburn, IN and he died March 28, 1964. She later married Clarence W. Talley on June 4, 1966 in Garrett, IN and he died October 24, 1986. Jean was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN; Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Rosary Sodality and the DeKalb County Homemakers. Jean is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Ann (Richard) Murley, Garrett, IN and Elizabeth "Betsy" Simon, Garrett, IN.; 3 sons: James Sapp, Fort Wayne, IN; Joseph (Julie Anne) Talley, Oregon City, OR; and David Talley, Garrett, IN. She has 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Roger and Ruby Hull; Husbands: John David Sapp and Clarence W. Talley; 1 sister: Dolores Hull. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Garrett, IN with Fr. Andrew Nazareth celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. The Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Burial will take place following the Mass at Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN. Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or Alzheimer's.
