Eleanor "Joan" J. Bowser age 85 left this earth to be with her heavenly father at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor N.H. surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1925 in Auburn, IN to George and Gertrude (Weimer) Daum and they preceded her in death. Eleanor married Orlo "Ort" Bowser on September 25, 1943 and he died in 2004. She was a homemaker. Eleanor is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughter in-laws: Steven Bowser, Waldron, MI; Stan (Andrea) Bowser, Norwalk, OH and Scott (Amy) Bowser, Huntertown, IN. 2 sisters survive: Irene Allen, Huntertown, IN and Marjorie Casebeer, Auburn, IN. Eleanor is survived by her 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Brock, Dawn Brown, Gabe Bowser, Josh Bowser, Todd Bowser, and Eric Bowser. She also is survived by 6 great grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents: George and Gertrude Daum, her husband: Orlo "Ort" Bowser and an infant son: Gary L. Bowser. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the funeral home. Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Fichtner of Our Hope Lutheran Church in Huntertown officiating. Burial will follow in Huntertown Cemetery - Huntertown, IN. Memorials are to the Huntertown Volunteer Fire Department or Our Hope Lutheran Church - Huntertown, IN.
