Esther Wynette Sands, 75 of Garrett, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Byron Health Center in Fort Wayne. She was born January 1, 1937 in Huntington to the late Walter and Loretta (Caley) Campbell. She had been a cook for many years at the Auburn House and Town Tavern. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Tipsord of Churubusco and Tamara Clark of Garrett and two sons, Jerry Sands of Waynedale and Jeffrey Sands of New Haven; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett.
