Esther C. Hollis age 91 of Garrett, IN died Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital – Auburn, IN. Esther was born August 2, 1930 in Garrett, IN to Russell C. and Wilma (Shreve) Stevens. She married Richard J. Hollis on July 24, 1954 in Garrett, IN.

Esther worked as a secretary for Max Shreve and Associates, retiring in 1978.

She was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church.

Esther is survived by her husband: Richard "Dick" J. Hollis, Garrett, IN; daughter: Beth (Bob) Novy, Garrett, IN; granddaughter: Jessica (Derek) Marlin, Fishers, IN; grandson: Mitchell (Christina) Novy, Woodstock, GA; grandchildren: Keller, Rosie and Aiden Novy, Woodstock, GA.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Russell C. and Wilma Stevens; brother: William A. Stevens.

Visitation will take place from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021  at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Epling officiating.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery – Garrett, IN

Memorials are to the Garrett Presbyterian Church.
