Eugene Ralph Ries age 90 of LaOtto, IN died Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Eugene was born May 30, 1932 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Oscar and Evelyn (Osborne) Ries

Eugene graduated from Central High School – Ft. Wayne, IN. Eugene honorably served in the United States Army.

He married Fay A. Shank in January 1979 in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was a Ft. Wayne Police officer for 21 years and then started Ries Tool and Die - retiring in 2012.

Eugene is survived by his wife: Fay A. Ries, LaOtto, IN; daughter: Terri (Sonny) Newton, Crystal River, FL; son: Ricky (Barb) Ries, Moneta, VA; grandson, granddaughter and 5 great grandchildren.; 2 sisters: Karen DeMille, Ft. Wayne, IN; Sharon Ries, Ft. Wayne, IN and many loving in-laws nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar and Evelyn Ries; 2 brothers: Bob Roes and Russell Ries.
