Eunice M. Heitz, age 96 of Garrett, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at her residence. She was born February 25, 1914 in Twin Falls, Idaho to John S. and Alice (Garber) Flory. She married J. Emory Heitz on April 17, 1942 in Garrett and he died May 10, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren in Garrett. She is survived by a son, John and Sandy Heitz of Kendallville and a daughter, Sharon Heitz of New Haven; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kenneth Heitz, 4 brothers and a sister. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30 from 5-8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Keith Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Memorials are to the Cedar Creek Church of the Brethren.
