Evelyn Julia Ferguson, 74 of Garrett, died on Tuesday, October 05, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 29, 1936 in Garrett to Camillo and Frances (Aversa) Zecca. She married David K. Ferguson on October 6, 1956 in Garrett. She was an accounts payable clerk for the City of Garrett for 12 years before retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, Tri Kappa Sorority, Red Hat Society and the Sewing Club. She is survived by her husband, David K. Ferguson of Garrett; 2 sons, David Ferguson Jr. of Huntertown and Tom Ferguson of Galveston, TX; 2 daughters, Julia Steward of Garrett and Diana Waring of Avilla; a brother, Henry Zecca Sr. of Garrett; a sister, Elizabeth Schlotterer of Chandler, AZ; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Brent Ferguson, a brother, Vincent Zecca and a sister, Ellen Conkle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Derrick Sneyd officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery rural Garrett. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 2-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Garrett. There will be a Tri Kappa service at 7 p.m. and a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School or St. Martin's Healthcare
