Eyvond Shroads age 86 of Garrett, IN and previously of Wawaka, IN passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Eyvond was born July 21, 1938 in Edmondson County, KY to Phlemon and Blanche (White) Whobrey.

She was a buyer/purchasing agent at Stanadyne in Garrett, IN for 5 years. She had attended the Wawaka Methodist church.

She is survived by hers sons: Jerry (Michelle) Shroads, Garrett, IN; Ronald (Linda) Shroads, Waterloo, IN; daughters: Sandra Shroads (John) Michels, Garrett, IN; Valerie (Steve Souder) Shroads, Ft. Wayne, IN; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; special niece: Sharon Stinson, Macon, GA; special friend: Helen Holbrook, Kendallville, IN

She was preceded in death by her parents: Phlemon and Blanche Whobrey; brother: Philip Whobrey; sisters: Ercie Clayborn and Joan Stumler.

Visitation will take place from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN.

Private services will take place and burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery – Ft. Wayne, IN

Memorials are to the Wawaka Methodist Church.
