Dr. Floyd "Doc" Joseph Johnson D.V.M. age 76 of LaOtto, IN died at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2010 at Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne, IN. He was born March 1, 1934 in Garrett, IN to Stephen A. and Sylvia M. (Imbody) Johnson, they preceded him in death. He married Mary Ellen Howe on May 30, 1964 in Hudson, IN. Prior to being Co-Owner of the Garrett Veterinary Hospital from 1970-2004, he was in the US Naval Reserves. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garrett, K of C Council 1790 and American Veterinary Association. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Johnson of LaOtto; daughter, Julie Anne (Joseph) Talley of Oregon City, OR; son, Arthur John "Butch" (Angie) Johnson of Auburn; brother, Arthur (Rose) Johnson of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Emma, Andrew and Sarah Talley all of Oregon City, OR and Brittney Kiessling of Fort Wayne, Blake Blaker of Auburn and Dane Johnson of Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Chuck Herman celebrating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56 Garrett, IN. Memorials are to Byron Health Center
