Garland Spencer Link age 81 of Auburn and previously Waterloo died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at DeKalb Health - Auburn, IN. Garland was born May 18, 1935 in Auburn, IN to Harold and Viva (Pippenger) Link. He was a tool and die maker, job shopper and contracting engineer. Garland was a member of Mensa and a lifetime member of the NRA and avid gun collector. Garland is survived by 4 sons: Scott (Susan) Link, Auburn, IN; Larry (Lorraine) Link, Butler, IN; Dan Link, Auburn, IN; Robert (Tara) Link, Englewood, FL.; 2 daughters: Natalie (Steve) McDaniels, Auburn, IN; Rebecca (Brian) Johnson, Ft. Wayne, IN. He is survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His ex-wife: Carolyn Warner also survives in Auburn, IN Garland was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Viva Link; 2 brothers: Everett Link and Larry Link; a sister: Bonnie Link and 1 grandchild. Services will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN with Steve Schlatter of Countyline Church of God officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. - Noon on Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery - Auburn, IN.
