Gary S. Kleeman age 71 of Garrett, IN died Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital – Ft. Wayne, IN. Gary was born March 21, 1948 in Garrett, IN to Donald M. and A. Katharine (VanFleit) Kleeman.

Gary worked for the Garrett Police Department for 23 ½ years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the Garrett American Legion and Garrett Eagles.

He is survived by his daughters: Stefanie (Mike) Mortimore, Kendallville, IN; Kelby Delauder, Fort Wayne, IN; brother: Jeff (Elaine) Kleeman, Angola, IN; sister: Ann Kleeman, Garrett, I; grandchildren: Logan Schupbach, Mooresville, IN; Cole Schupbach, Kendallville, IN; Aaryn Mortimore, Ft. Wayne, IN; Justice Mortimore, Kendallville, IN; Addy, Ft. Wayne, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Donald M. and A. Katharine "Kate" Kleeman; brother: John Kleeman.

As per his wishes, no services will take place at this time.
