Gerald L. "Jerry" Bowmar age 81 of Port Orange, FL and formerly of Garrett, IN died Monday, May 29, 2017 at Halifax Health Hospice – Port Orange, FL. Gerald was born February 21, 1936 in Avilla, IN to Gerald J. and Helen (Hess) Bowmar. He married Donna L. Crow on November 21, 1959 in Garrett, IN and she survives in Port Orange, FL.

Gerald was a service rep for Hunter Engineering – St. Louis, MO for 17 years, retiring in 1998

Gerald is survived by his wife: Donna L. Bowmar, Port Orange, FL; daughters: Deanna (Bob) Petcoff, Auburn, IN; Beth (Shawn) Lindsay, Orlando, FL; son: Mark (Kelly) Bowmar, Warner Robbins, GA; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the Grace Episcopal Church- Port Orange, FL

Graveside services will take place in Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017 with Jeff Turner officiating.
