Gilbert E. Lawhead, age 69 of Garrett, In died at 8:06 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born October 5, 1937 in Auburn, IN to Archie R. and Thelma B. (Elsner) Lawhead. He married Laura E. Hensinger on January 20, 1968 in Garett. He owned Lawheads Union 76 filling station for many years. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Thomas Funeral Home.
