Glenn W. Neukom, age 86 of Garrett, died on Friday, June 04, 2010 at Hospice Home of Northeast Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born January 7, 1924 in Adams County, IN to Christian and Rosinna (Witwer) Neukom, they preceded him in death. He married Marcia M. Schnepp on January 25, 1947 in Decatur and she died February 13, 2007. Glenn worked at Art Iron Inc. in Fort Wayne, retiring in 1986. He was a US Army veteran having served during World War II. He was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church. He is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Wayne and Dianna Neukom of Fort Wayne; sister, Mildred Wentland of Garrett; grandchildren, LeighAnn Watkins, Christina Evans, Daniel Murley, Joseph Neukom, Samuel Neukom and Matthew Neukom and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mari Lynn Shulze; brothers, Reno and Paul Neukom and his sisters, Edna Peterson, Irene Curdes, Evelyn Ehinger, Marcella Frieburger, Florine Ehley and Edith Fister. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Dr. Scott Shoaff will officiate.
