Harold C. Deihl age 77 died at 1:25 p.m. Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital - Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born February 3, 1934 in rural Garrett to George and Ada (Miller) Deihl and they preceded him in death. He married Mary Jo Mitchell on June 21, 1959 in Garrett and she survives in Corunna, IN. Harold was a farmer all his life and was a member of the Christian Union Brethren in Christ Church - Garrett, IN, the Oliver Gang Tractor Club and the Pontiac Oakland Club International. Harold is survived by his wife: Mary Jo Deihl, Corunna, IN; a son: Mark Deihl, Garrett, IN; a daughter: Elaine (Don) Plante, Colorado Springs, CO. and a granddaughter: Kaitlyn Plante, Colorado Springs, CO. Harold was preceded in death by his parents: George and Ada Deihl, brother: Carl Deihl and 2 sisters: Ruth Hackman and Helen Hoover. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett, IN and from 9-10 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Christian Union Brethren in Christ Church - Garrett, IN. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Christian Union brethren in Christ Church with Rev. Joe Laher and Rev. David Mix officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN Memorials are to the church, the Gideon's, or the Heimach Center.
