Harold L. Pepple age 90 of Corunna, IN died at 9:10 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at DeKalb Memorial Hospital - Auburn, IN. He was born May 3, 1919 in Mishawaka, IN. He married Ruth N. Kern on November 16, 1940 in Auburn, IN and she died December 22, 1995. He was an engineer on the B & O Railroad for 45 years, retiring in 1983. He was a lifetime member of the Garrett Eagles and a member of the Garrett Masonic Lodge, Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers and the National Riffle Association. He was a member of the Corunna Community Church. Survivors include: Son - H. Steven Pepple, Garrett, IN Son - Daniel Pepple, Angola, IN Son - Jerry Pepple, Orland, IN Daughter - Janet Smart, Corunna, IN 13 Grandchildren 25 great grandchildren Preceded in death by: Wife - Ruth N. Pepple Grandson - Steven Pepple Grandson - Neil Pepple Foster Brother - Melvin Anderson A graveside memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Christian Union Cemetery - Garrett, IN. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Pickard and memorials are to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
