Harold L. Ranger age 67 of Garrett, IN died Monday, August 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 10, 1950 in Harrisville, MI to Marvin and Dorothy (Rifenbark) Ranger.
He was a press operator at General Motors in Michigan and was a machine operator at Electric Motors in Garrett for over 10 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of the Garrett VFW, Garrett Eagles and a Lifetime member of the VFW – Barton City, MI.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Harold is survived by his daughters: Renee and Robert Gaynor, Alvaton, KY; Veronica and John Bingham, Fishers, IN; son: Jason and Jill Ranger, Spencerville, IN; sisters: Patricia Lucore, Huntsville, OH; Joann Fournier, Harrisville, MI; and 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Marvin Ranger; mother: Dorothy Rivers and brother: Ronald Ranger.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN with a memorial service to follow. The United States Army, Garrett VFW, and Garrett American Legion will present military honors at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at a later date in Maple Ridge Cemetery – Barton City, MI
