Harry G. Jackson Jr. of Garrett, Indiana October 25, 1941 - June 27, 2015 Harry G. Jackson Jr. age 73 of Garrett, IN died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at his home. He was born October 25, 1941 in Elkhart, IN to Harry G. Jackson Sr. and Alice L. (Webb) Jackson. He married Sammye Kilgore on March 22, 1986 in Garrett, IN and she died November 1, 2009. He then married Donna M. Schulthess on November 14, 2014 in Garrett, IN and she survives. He was a medical lab and radiographic tech for 40 years at the Sacred Heart Hospital and the Garrett Clinic in Garrett, IN. He was later a dispatcher for the Garrett Police and Fire from 2000 - 2012. He was with the Garrett Fire Dept. from 1970 - 1995, serving as chief for 12 years. He coached little league baseball starting in 1970 and was a member of the Garrett American Legion Post #178 - Sons of the Legion for 30 years. Harry is survived by his wife: Donna M. Jackson, Garrett, IN; 3 sons: Jeffrey Scott (Mandi) Jackson, Hamilton, IN; Mark Allen (Tina) Jackson, Garrett, IN and Gregory W. (Deb) Jackson, Fort Wayne IN. 2 step-sons: Timothy (Tina) Stafford, Garrett, IN; Rick (Lora) Stafford, Clearfield, UT and a step-daughter - Katherine "Katie" Kilgore, Batavia, OH. Also surviving is a sister: Karen J. Miller, Pierceton, IN. and 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Harry G. Jackson Sr. and Alice L. Jackson-Heckman. A wife Sammye Jackson, a sister: Sandra L. Butcher. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home - 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, IN. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. David Mix officiating.
