Helen E. Carpenter, age 78 of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, November 29, 2012 in Orlando, FL. She was born May 13, 1934 in Butler, IN to the late Delbert and Edna (Williams) Mock. She married Dr. Ramesh S. Carptenter on October 1, 1960 and he died on December 26, 1993. She then married John Berhow on November 15, 2001 and he survives in Ft. Wayne. Helen is also survived by two daughters, Tonya Barr of Myrtle Beach, SC and Christine Myers of Tallahassee, FL; five stepsons, Tom and Bob Carpenter of Ft. Wayne and Yogi Carpenter of Indianapolis, John Berhow Jr. of Illinois and Bruce Berhow of Iowa; a brother, Albert L. Mock of Angola; a sister, Carolyn White of Orlando, FL and 9 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Martin and two brothers, Gerald and Dale Mock. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Derek Weber will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Garrett.
