Ila L. Greaf July 14, 1923 - August 9, 2012 Ila L. Greaf age 89 of Garrett, IN died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital - Fort Wayne, IN. She was born July 14, 1923 in Garrett, IN to Vern and Ethel M. (Button) Warner and they preceded her in death. She owned and operated Ila's Beauty shop for many years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Garrett United Methodist Church and was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma. She was a former member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of 2 bridge clubs. Ila married Roger D. Greaf on April 16, 1993 in Garrett and he died October 20, 2011 Ila is survived by 3 sons: Dr. Barry McNamara, Montgomery, AL; Dr. Craig McNamara, Montgomery, AL and Dr. Tom Newbauer, Avon, IN. She is survived by 2 step daughters: Karen Jo Renner, Ft. Wayne, IN and Marilyn Culler, Garrett, IN and 3 step sons: Joe Newbauer, Bay City, MI; Dr. William Greaf, Stony Brook, NY and Steven D. Greaf, Parkersburg, WV. Ila is also survived by 2 brothers: Richard Warner, Auburn, IN and Dr. Arthur Warner, Columbia, SC. Ila's grandchildren are: Katharine Smoker, Union Springs, AL; Kimberly McNamara, Montgomery, AL; Andrew McNamara, Chicago, IL; Dr. Kelli McNamara-Rigsby, Tuscumbia, AL and Avery Newbauer, Avon, IN. She also has 2 great grandchildren: Caleb and Jacob Smoker, Union Springs, AL. Services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at the Garrett United Methodist Church with Dr. Scott Shoaff and Rev. William Haworth officiating. Visitation will take place from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Thomas Funeral Home - Garrett, IN and from 9-10 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at the church.
