Imogene M. Loutzenhiser October 8, 1924 - January 1, 2013 Imogene M. Loutzenhiser, age 88 of Garrett, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at her home. She was born October 8, 1924 in Garrett to the late Carl and Opal Crothers-Perry. She married Beryl E. Loutzenhiser on January 24, 1953 and he died on July 29, 2003. Imogene was a Stocker at Mossberg Industries (Hubbard Spool) in Garrett until her retirement in 1986. She loved to spend her summers at the Indian Springs Campground, where she was known as "Grandma" and enjoyed the Saturday night Bingo games. She was a member of the Indian Springs Campground Association and had attended the First Baptist Church in Garrett. She is survived by her 3 sons, Larry and Becky Madden of Sparta, TN, Van and Alice Loutzenhiser of Auburn and Terry Loutzenhiser of Garrett; 2 daughters, Jan and Mark Early of Leo and Suzanne Hurd of Garrett; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Barry Loutzenhiser; 2 brothers, Raymond and Paul Perry and a sister, Barb Castro. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, 1277 C.R. 56, Garrett, with Dr. Scott Shoaff officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are to Cancer Services of NE Indiana or DeKalb Home Health and Hospice.
