Iva "Jeanette" Tinsley age 92 of New haven, IN passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Saint Anne Community – Ft. Wayne, IN. Iva was born December 11, 1931 in Garrett, In to John T. and Mary Belle (Doster) Andrews.  She was a supervisor at the Indiana State Hospital for 32 years, retiring in 1992.

Iva is survived by 2 sons: Thomas Tinsley, Chicago, IL; Gino Tinsley, Ft. Wayne, IN; special son: Bobby Tinsley, New Haven, IN; sisters: Leotha Murphy, Bay City, MI; Violet Bland, Ft. Wayne, IN; Michelle Rose, White Lake, MI; 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents: John T. and Mary Belle Andrews; 2 daughters: Charlotte Crawford, Sharon Hughes; brothers: Raymond E. Andrews and Lloyd W. Andrews; sisters: Cleotha Tinsley; Phyllis Andrews; and Shirley Washington.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Christian Union Cemetery – Garrett, IN.
